Dr. Christopher Y.C. Chow
Originally from Long Island, New York, Dr. Chow graduated from the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree
in Biological Sciences.
He earned his
medical degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 1991. During medical school, he spent a year at the National Institute of Health doing research as a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Scholar. After completing his ophthalmology residency at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary of Harvard Medical School, he served a fellowship in Corneal and External Disease at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute of the University of Miami.
On completing his fellowship training, Dr. Chow moved to Southeast Michigan to join the practice of Michigan Cornea Consultants.
Dr. Chow is a recognized speaker and author, both nationally and internationally. Several of his research and review articles on cornea and ocular diseases have been published in ophthalmic journals and textbooks. Dr. Chow is a Clinical Instructor of Ophthalmology at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, Michigan, and the Detroit Osteopathic Ophthalmology Residency Program. He is also actively involved in a number of national research studies that are seeking new ways to diagnose and treat corneal and external diseases.
