Dr. Steven P. Dunn
Born in Albany, New York, Dr. Dunn attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree. He earned his medical degree from the Albany
Medical College of Union University in 1977. Following completion of his ophthalmology residency training at the Albany Medical Center, Dr. Dunn was awarded a Bausch and Lomb Corneal Fellowship for additional training in the subspecialty of Corneal and External Diseases at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Dr. Dunn moved to Southeast Michigan in 1982 upon completion of his fellowship training. He and Dr. Heidemann established The Michigan Cornea Consultants, a strongly academic and patient-oriented subspecialty practice in 1987.
Dr. Dunn has authored numerous articles and chapters in ophthalmic journals and books; and is currently involved in a number of regional and national research studies on the diagnosis, treatment and surgery of various corneal and external disease problems. He is a Clinical Instructor of Ophthalmology at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, Michigan and the Detroit Osteopathic Ophthalmology Residency Program. He is Director of the Corneal and External Diseases Service at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, Michigan.
